I’m getting older. Yes, I’m going to be 52, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. There are a lot of us out there that are aging. Thanks to my older and wiser sister, I have a different outlook on getting old. You see, she only lived to be 51.
It’s March, and most of us are looking forward to the first signs of spring: warm weather and all those gardening chores that allow us to putter and get our hands dirty. Many gardeners have started their seedlings and are planning their vegetable gardens. It’s our annual return to the soil.

Growing up, having venison for dinner never occurred in my household. Common meals in my house were beef, chicken, and fish, so that is what I learned to cook. So it has been quite an experience for me being married to a hunter and having a freezer full of venison meat. I didn't know where to start.
