VeggieTales Turns 20 This Year!

A handful of years ago, I was a leader for AWANAs for three years. It was one of the best times of my life, and before we convened to have classes, we always watch a little bit of a video. We had many videos (my grandma’s favorite was The Best Christmas Pageant Ever), but usually we watched a VeggieTales flick or two.

Frog Day!

Every summer, we plan a big frog-tastic event at the Edgerton Branch. This year marks our 14th Annual Frog Jumping Contest!

This year, our contest will be held on Wednesday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. We will have lots of fun and froggy-themed games, like the Bullfrog Long Jump, Froggy Kissing Booth, and the Tadpole Toss. Our main event will be the Frog Jumping Contest. Every participant will need to bring their own frog for this event.

Planning a Summer Vacation? MCPL Can Help!

When my fiancé and I first started discussing where to go on our honeymoon this summer, I have to admit, I had very grand ideas. Finally, I had to narrow my focus and find somewhere close and not too overindulgent, since we have been putting a lot of money into our old farmhouse.

Bring the Movie Theater Home!

Both sets of my parents have a love/hate relationship with going to the movies. Once they’re there, it’s fine, but the mere thought of spending all of that money tends to put a foul taste in their mouths. A couple of years ago, I didn’t understand this. Going to the movies was fun and totally worth spending however much money my mom or stepmom spent, but now, it’s different. When I go with my friends to the movies, I’m still really excited, but not having parents there to blow the money for me… well, it has dulled the excitement just a bit.

Get Through Awful Classes with Help from the Library!

Sometimes in one’s schooling career, they are faced with the rather unexciting (and sometimes daunting) quest to take and pass a class or two that may not be very enjoyable. For me, there are three of those particular classes: Oral Communications and two science classes. I have to take them for my general studies requirements, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to enjoy them.
