Mid-Continent Public Library offers movies that can be streamed online using your computer, Apple, Android, or other Internet-enabled device. You can also stream via your Roku or Xbox. To use each service, you will need a valid MCPL library card. You will need to create a free account to stream movies online. More details are provided in the section below.
IndieFlix is a streaming movie service that offers access to award-winning shorts, feature films, and documentaries. You can instantly view over forty-five hundred titles from more than fifty different countries, including the best from film festivals like Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, and more! IndieFlix has a "Mood Filter" that allows you to filter content by genre, length, or rating (ratings are All Ages, 13+, and 17+, not the MPAA ratings). Note: Whenever you log in, you are required to acknowledge the following warning -- "Be advised that films on IndieFlix have not been rated by the MPAA and may contain offensive language, scenes of violence and sexual situations."
|Freegal Movies and TV is a streaming video service. Using Freegal, you have access to thousands of feature films and television episodes. New content is added monthly, if not more often. Similar to Freegal Music, users are limited to streaming THREE movies or TV shows per week. The week starts on Sundays at 11:00 p.m. Central Time. While most of the collection is family-friendly, Freegal Movies and TV does include some R-rated and NR (Not Rated) material. When you log in, you are required to acknowledge the following statement – “Some of the content on Freegal Movies is not subject to MPAA ratings and may not be appropriate for individuals under the age of 18.”|
