The Raytown Teen Book Club met at the Raytown Branch at 3:15 on June 8. The book discussion for June was Revenge of the Witch by Joseph Delaney. We had an attendance of nine. We started the group out with writing their names in Greek. Denise Bozikis, our very own library staff employee, was a special guest speaker. She is a native from Greece.
After hearing about this title from numerous librarians, I finally placed it on hold and started reading it. After reading a number of Teen novels in the last few years I was not expecting the harsh adult tones, ideas, and language that permeated the book. And I loved it!
Have you ever wished you lived in the future with a robot dog for a pet? Or had adventures that led to the long-forgotten under-realms of Hollywood where cast off sets and props take on a life of their own? Or have you ever wished you would suddenly wake up from amnesia and remember that you were someone famous, maybe a pirate?
Book Review: How to Say Goodbye in Robot by Natalie Standiford
Beatrice has lived all over the country. She and her mother follow her father as he strives for academic excellence as a university professor.
