You Wouldn't Want To...
August 30, 2012
I don’t think it’s very often that kids want to sit down and read about history. When my children were young, they were very reluctant to crack open a school book, let alone a history book. A few years ago, I came across this fantastic series of children’s books that help teach kids about history in a very fun and amusing way. These books are in the You Wouldn’t Want To… book series designed and created by David Salariya. The books are full of cartoon style illustrations and range in topics from being a Greek athlete to sailing on the Titanic.
This book series is an extremely entertaining way for kids to learn about historical facts and figures. If you’re not familiar with this series, our branches offer dozens of titles to choose from. The next time you visit the Library, give these books a try. They really are fun and interesting books to read!

You Wouldn't Want To... In School
I read this with my class about the Aztecs and the Myans. The book made it funny and interesting. I really wanted to know more after I read these books! I TOTALLY recommend. :)
