You Can Have It All, Adele

April 19, 2011

Lately, I've been listening to Adele. Her song, Rolling In the Deep (from her CD 21) has a huge following, and for good reason. I have to admit, I'm late to jump on the Adele bandwagon. Her previous album, 19, with the exception of Hometown Glory, just didn't do a lot for me. Now however, 21 resonates with the pathos that maturity brings.

Rolling In the Deep is currently getting a lot of play. It's just the perfect song to wail after a break-up. The china-breaking-against-the-wall in the video complements her angry disbelief. Her powerful voice swells with the genuine emotion of a careless loss of love.  Hmmm...I think we can all identify.

Adele feels it, sings it, and then you feel it. So, grab some ice cream ('cause ya got the blues), get online, and request some of Adele's music. You "can have it all" at MCPL.

I love her heartache

"Someone Like You" from the same album gives me the chills. And what's best is she does it all without autotune, as you can see from numerous live performances on YouTube.
