Why Does Your Compass Always Point North?

December 06, 2010

Have you ever wondered why your compass always point NORTH? Well I have, and now I know the real reason. Want to know what it is?

This last Saturday, the 4th of December, Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped for a visit at the Blue Springs North Branch. This visit was very special. Mrs. Claus told us all about how she helps Santa and his elves get ready for the big Christmas Eve trip. Santa read a beautiful Christmas poem written by Clement Moore. Everyone present enjoyed the morning immensely. The kids sat on Santa's lap and whispered in his ear the thing they most wanted for Christmas. It was a wonderful morning!

Oops, I almost forgot the answer to the compass question.

Well, Santa told us that he really looks forward to all the letters he receives from girls and boys all over the world. But, what he really loves are the pictures children draw and send to him. Can you guess where he puts them all?  Yes, on his refrigerator! Imagine all those magnets, ALL over his frig!

That is the real reason that compasses point north!!!

Oh yes, just a little reminder...There will be no Storytime at Blue Springs North Branch during the two holiday weeks. We will however be preparing for RAFT!

Watch for upcoming information about RAFT, it is coming soon!!!
