WHOSE VOICE? WHICH FUTURE? WHY A LIBRARY COMPANION?

WHAT DO THESE BOOKS HAVE IN COMMON?
These books have amazing insight. And strangely, each one of them – though seemingly unrelated – easily leads into the substance of the other.
If you are inclined to seek out an understanding of the future derived from the individually unique struggles of the past… these books are a must read for you.
The way we humans conduct business is rapidly changing. It is not impossible to conceive that, in the very near future, all business will be electronically exchanged. We jumped from fire in caves to electric light posts on every corner, to voices heard in every home to knowledge available at the touch of a fingertip, and probably in the not too distant future, a state of the arts implanted micro array chip that will enable us to access data in the privacy of our own minds at the prompt of a thought.
I do believe we can trace back all these innovations and expectations to our backstairs ancestors who invested and adapted to the future, and whose stories are chronicled in our beloved libraries.
