Who's Your Daddy?

Dear MCPL website poll voters,

How could you? How could you do it? How could you, given the choice of your favorite Star Wars character, choose anyone but Darth Vader? 
 
When I saw last week's poll, I voted swiftly and surely for the Emperor's heir and right hand dude, that dark lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. It wasn't hard, not like choosing between Kirk and Picard. But people, let's not go there.
 
Darth Vader is baaaaad. Darth Vader is cool. Inciting terror is his job, and he's great at it! He's tall, dark and handsome. He makes a great fashion statement in basic black, which as we know is always in fashion, on any planet, or the deck of any planet-shaped ultimate weapon. Even as an apparition, (remember Luke's dream, in the cave, in The Empire Strikes Back?) he's slap-your-momma-creepy-good. 
 
It's not his fault that Luke and Leia didn't get to play a little sand volleyball with their Pop back  on Tattoine. He's a little hard-hearted, but I can forgive him for that because he's the ultimate prodigal-makes-good. He not only saves his son's life, but liberates the galaxy from the evil Emperor. He's son and father. Redeemer and redeemed.
 
Who's your Daddy? Come on, you know.
