Whoopie Pies: Dozens of Mix'em, Match'em, Eat'em Up Recipes
January 24, 2011
I married a man from upstate New York. Every time we go back East, we have to get a box of "devil dogs". I grew up calling them Susie Qs, although devil dogs are drier and sweeter. Now, they're called whoopie pies, and they have evolved into quite the treat; Classic Chocolate, Red Velvet, Lemon, Peanut Butter, Pistachio-Cardamom, Vegan Vanilla, and Jalapeno Cornbread. Just to name a few. And the filling, oh my; Classic Marshmallow, Cream Cheese, Coconut Cream, Malted Buttercream, Dulce de Leche, Root Beer, Orange Cream, Vegan Vanilla "Butter" Crea, and Matcha Buttercream.
A Whoopie Pie can brighten up even the most dreary winter day, for real.
