When Is a Book Not a Book?
December 16, 2010
Maybe, when it has no real paper pages. If so, MCPL has thousands and thousands of non-book books. You can have books on tape, books on CDs, electronic downloadable audiobooks; then, you can listen to them on your computer or MP3/IPOD player, downloadable e-books that you can read on your computer, and of course, books made into movies. All of these formats are available at all branches, and are part of our system in order to serve the widest possible audience and user base for our services. Librarians at any of the branches can help you find items on our shelves and help you with the downloadable resources. Perhaps the best news, though, is that standard printed books are the biggest part of our collection and are still the most popular items we have.
