What Was Your Favorite Movie Growing Up?
November 08, 2010
My favorite movie was The Wizard of Oz. I know the monkeys really creep some people out, but I still love everything about the movie. As time passed, I remember when they added technicolor to the scene where the house lands in Munchkin land. Now, that was something to talk about. It was such a drastic change from black and white film.
Remember all the great TV shows like: Please Don’t Eat the Daisies, Daktari, Tarzan, My Mother the Car, and My Three Sons. I could just go on and on naming all the fun shows from the past.
And what about all the sitcoms, especially from the 60’s? There were Beverly Hillbillies, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie, Green Acres, Get Smart, the Flying Nun, and tons more. Oh, and how could I forget Gilligan’s Island? I actually had the opportunity to see the real Gilligan’s Island in Hawaii that they showed at the beginning of the show. And, remember Leave It To Beaver when Beaver got stuck in the big coffee cup on the billboard. He was there all day and into the night before they found him.
Let’s reminisce together. Let me know of any fun memories you have from all the old shows growing up. Here are the top 100 sitcoms of the 1960’s ranked by TVofyourlife.com
