What is Science Fiction?

Science fiction is a fiction genre. It deals with imaginary events that could be real in the future. Some of the issues that are dealt with are future settings, futuristic science and technology, space travel, aliens, and some paranormal abilities.

I have enjoyed science fiction since I was a child. My favorite movies growing up include the Star Wars movies. Now that I am older, I have found that I am enjoying science fiction in the Young Adult genre. The two authors I enjoyed the most are Amy Kathleen Ryan and Beth Revis. Amy Kathleen Ryan has written the books Glow and Spark, while Beth Revis has written Across the Universe and A Million Suns. Both of these series will be trilogies.
