What to Be? What to Be?

September 30, 2011

Halloween isn't really just for kids anymore. Oh, no! The last few years, more and more adults are getting in on the whole costume act as more things become available for adults to do.

Check out most of the clubs and bars in the area, and you'll find tons of Halloween parties and costume contests offered. Now, not only do you need to come up with ideas for your kids' costumes, you need to find something for yourself. Maybe, you'll win big dollars on your big night out!

Ideas...ideas...yes, I need them, too. I used to be too dignified to wear a costume, but the lure of money wins out! Hmmm, there is the very un-original idea of going as a librarian. I. Do. Not. Do. Buns. Not even for money! Lol...

One place to get some ideas is here at the library. I mean just because I can't come up with my own idea doesn't mean I can't browse some library books and uh, "borrow" a few ideas.

Maybe, I'll try Dressed for Thrills - 100 years of Halloween Costumes by Phyllis Galembo. Then, there's Creative Costumes & Halloween Decor by Creative Publishing International.

After that, I need to carve a pumpkin. Just give me a knife, a pumpkin, and a copy of Extreme Pumpkins by Tom Nardone and I'm on it. Halloween, I'm ready for you!

Just don't show up and say you were a ninja.

Get a brown sleeping bag, get in it and voila! You're a burrito.

Do everything exactly the opposite of what you'd normally do. Now you're Bizarro Rox.

You could always go as a Zombified librarian! I think that would be kind of fun. You could get some of that fabric paint and make your own shirt that said "Booooooooks", a play on the typical "Braaaaains" :D
