What Are You Reading This Summer?
June 05, 2012
Time to dust off those library cards - Summer is here! Whether you're going on vacation and wanting a good beach read, or the kids are all home and you need to escape (at least mentally), a good book is an essential part of summer. I'm planning on catching up on Charlaine Harris' latest Sookie Stackhouse novel, Deadlocked. What can I say, it's a guilty pleasure... I'm also hoping to finally read Bright's Passage by Josh Ritter. It's been on my reading list since last year.
So what do you plan on reading this summer?
Whatever your tastes, MCPL is here to help. Check out what's available through our online catalog, download an eBook though OverDrive, or come in to your local library branch, and we'll be happy to help you in person.
And don't forget about our reading challenges! Adults, you can log your reads as part of 6 in 12 and be entered into drawings for prizes, while children and teens can put their time spent reading towards earning free books and other prizes as part of our Summer Reading Program!
