Wet, Wild, & Wacky... and a few unicorns too!
August 25, 2010
To celebrate the end of our successful summer reading program, staff members at the Blue Ridge branch hosted a Wet, Wild, and Wacky program outside. We ran relays, played with bubbles, threw water balloons at each other, and got squirted with a hose a few times. Participants received book covers, temporary tattoos, notepads, and other prizes related to the “Make a Splash…Read” theme.
After our soggy guests had a chance to dry off, they got to come inside for some face painting fun. Unicorns may be rare, but they sure are happy when they visit our branch!
