Old Farmer’s Almanac – Week 1
If "mild" is how the Old Farmer’s Almanac describes last Monday’s weather, it makes me wonder why they called the second part of last week "cool". I suppose mild must be colder than cool, but they got the sunny part right. Sunny, cool and windy – the almanac failed to mention the wind. I’m not too sure when it rained last week, besides last night – on the seventh. But we have to remember that this is for the entire heartland, going all the way up the South Dakota border. If it didn’t rain here, I’m sure it rained somewhere.
Most likely in South Dakota, I remember hearing that North Dakota was expecting snow. (Don’t worry, we’re not expected to get any for a few more weeks!)
Now, as for those thunderstorms we’re supposed to be having today (Nov 8) and tomorrow (Nov 9), I just checked the forecast… the warm weather is right, but the storms? What rain there is nearby is all the way on the far side of Colorado.
Well, seven days out of eight isn’t bad.
