We Love Books, Yes We Do!

What do you get when you gather some drill team library carts, great decorations, AND some fun librarians------with bags FULL of candy?

You get the makings for a fantastic parade entry!

The Mid-Continent Public Library System was superbly represented at the Blue Springs Fall Fun Fest Parade. The parade was held on the 18th of September, and it WAS fun for all!

The Library Drill Team was all decked out in Red, White, and Blue for the "Heroes" parade theme. The beautifully decorated carts were spinning to the rhythmic cheer of "We love books, yes we do. We love books, how 'bout you?". The spectators of course, responded with enthusiastic cheers of "We do too!"

The day was not all about "library voices".

Hmmm, I wonder which the kids liked most. The spinning carts? The great cheers? Or could it have been------the bags FULL of candy?

Guess we'll have to ask them.
