Warren Buffett Would Love the Library Value Calculator
September 26, 2012
Just like Warren Buffett, I pride myself on finding a good value. While he has done slightly better than me, I think he would agree to what I see as my greatest value play.
What is it you might ask? It’s my library card. In the past years, I’ve used it to update my resume, get access to tax calculation websites, check out books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, access articles, and take online courses.
According to the library value calculator, I 've saved approximately $1,070 per month by using my library card instead of purchasing these various services. This gives me access to things I would not be able to afford, and I can put these savings towards other things.
The cool thing is that I can have the access of a billionaire without having to supply the capital. I don’t believe a billionaire could acquire more materials than I can get using my library privileges.
I hope you are all taking advantage of the value supplied by our library system. Your library card can be the most powerful thing you own.
