Walking Down by the River

I have lived in the River Market for over a year now, and I have yet to explore the history of the place. I always hear stories of how pivital the River Market area was to industry growth in Kansas City, but I want specifics.

Well, now is my chance...This Saturday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m., the Blue Springs North Branch and the Blue Springs South Branch are joining together to present the River Market Walking Tour. We will tour the City Market and walk by the river, both areas steeped in the history of the Midwest. Meet in front of the Steamboat Arabia Museum (approximately 5th and Walnut) at 10:00 a.m., and be prepared to see the sights. I can't wait!
