Vote for the Library!
November 28, 2012
Just when you thought the election was over, the Library is asking for your support. Once again, MCPL is participating in "The Giving Trees" project. The festive Christmas trees are on the square in the historical downtown area of Liberty, Missouri.
Please check out the MCPL tree, decorated by Liberty Staff, which is located on the corner of Kansas and Water Street. As you will see, our tree represents progress in the community. There are now 30 Library Branches and four Library-To-Go installations available to serve our customers in Clay, Platte, and Jackson counties.
Anticipating the growth in the Northland area, MCPL has planted the seed and broke ground for the new library at Woodneath. Opening in the summer of 2013, this library will provide a commitment to history as well as new technology, making this facility the most advanced in our system.
Our tree is very unique. We have placed a branch on every branch. Confused? Check out our tree, and you will soon understand.
Please cast your vote by texting "Tree #8" to 816. 678.0209. If texting is not an option, just call the same phone number and leave a message. Voting closes on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. A wealth of knowledge is a great gift, so please VOTE for the Library.
In our book, your presence at the Liberty Branch makes us the WINNER!
