VeggieTales Turns 20 This Year!
June 17, 2013
A handful of years ago, I was a leader for AWANAs for three years. It was one of the best times of my life, and before we convened to have classes, we always watch a little bit of a video. We had many videos (my grandma’s favorite was The Best Christmas Pageant Ever), but usually we watched a VeggieTales flick or two.
My favorite VeggieTales movie would have to be Rack, Shack, and Benny: A Lesson in Handling Peer Pressure, which is based off of the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. I loved the songs, and I also really enjoyed how they incorporated a good lesson for children into such an amusing idea like a chocolate bunny factory.
VeggieTales has been a favorite for both children and parents since its creation in 1993. This year, on December 21, VeggieTales will turn 20 years old. Considering that I’ll be 21 in July, just thinking about how old VeggieTales is, truthfully makes me feel a bit old!
The Library has many VeggieTales titles to choose from, which are sure to entertain any child at almost any age.
