Valentine's Day
February 09, 2012
Valentine’s Day brings back fond memories of my grade school years. Mom would buy each of us a packet of Valentine cards. I would sit and look at every card in my packet, then I would carefully choose a card for each of my classmates. The best card in the pack would always go to my best friend, Phillis. We always had to make and decorate our Valentine’s box. My classmates and I would labor over how to make our box the prettiest or the most unique. Prizes were given for each category. We would each get up and put a card in everyone’s Valentine box. The teacher would judge which boxes won the prizes. The party treats afterwards were the best part of all!
