The Unwritten Rule by Elizabeth Scott
December 06, 2010
The unwritten rule is pretty strict: You don't like your best friend's boyfriend. But, what if you do? What if you can't stand being included in every date? What if you cringe every time they kiss? What if you start thinking he may actually like you back...?
Sometimes things happen. Sometimes a simple kiss can break the strictest unwritten rule, and your best friend ends up being your worst friend.
What do you do when you have broken The Unwritten Rule?
"This is the real unwritten rule: You don't want what you know you shouldn't. And I haven't just broken that rule. I have wrecked it, smashed it, and still...
And I still want."
The Unwritten Rule is all about being stuck on the outside of your best friend's relationship. How hard it is to watch your best friend be so happy with someone you liked first. But dibs don't matter with best friend's, right? Elizabeth Scott does a wonderful job of portraying the heartache that a best friend goes through when she wants her friend's boyfriend and the guilt that goes along after one simple kiss.
