Twilight or Fallen?

July 07, 2010

What is your pick? I have read both Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and Fallen by Lauren Kate. Both books were very good, but I was ready for something new. Fallen brought me something new in the paranormal world. I have read a few books since about the subject of fallen angels and I am excited about this new sub genre in Young Adult literature. There are many new and exciting authors that are contributing their ideas. I will list three books for each genre that I feel are the best written and connect the most with me.

If you like Twilight, you might like:

1) Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

2) Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

3) Evermore by Alyson Noel

If you like Fallen, you might like:

1) Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

2) Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

3) City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Also, if you enjoy Twilight, we are hosting the Twilight Saga Ball on Tuesday August 3 at 2:00 pm. We will be showing the movie New Moon. We will have food, drinks, and prizes. You can come in casual, formal attire, or dress up as your favorite character.
