Whether you want to remove an alternator or install a bathtub, MCPL’s research databases can help you complete your project with ease.  Each database is free through the library and most are available from your home computer. Check out the list below to find the database that is right for your home or auto project.

Auto Repair

Auto Repair Reference Center
Find automotive repair information from the publisher of the popular Chilton's manuals. Most cars and trucks are included, even vintage automobiles, starting as far back as 1945. Includes step-by-step repair instructions and photographs, service bulletins and recalls, wiring diagrams, labor estimates, and more.
 
ChiltonLibrary.com
This database provides repair information for thousands of car, truck, van, and SUV make and model combinations. It includes photographs and wiring diagrams in addition to troubleshooting and diagnostics tools.
 
Mitchell 1 OnDemand5.com (in library use only)
OnDemand5.com is the web version of Mitchell's automobile repair and estimating software. OnDemand5.com offers repair professionals delivery of automobile repair and estimating information. On the Welcome page, click on Login Now to get started. (in library use only)

Home Improvement Collection
This collection of more than 200 home-improvement focused titles covers such topics as architectural techniques, tool and material selection, zoning requirements, and many more. It will meet the needs of hobbyists and professionals alike. Although the majority of the content in this database is available through the Academic OneFile and/or General OneFile databases, there is some original subject-specific content as well.
 
Home Improvement Reference Center
Home Improvement Reference Center contains full text reference works and magazine articles on the topics of home maintenance, remodeling, electrical work, plumbing, wood projects, outdoor improvements, decorating, and gardening. It features more than 10,000 images that give instruction for home improvement projects.
