Tree House Living
May 31, 2011
When I was younger, I thought it would be so cool to live in a tree house like The Swiss Family Robinson. I never outgrew that fascination. I’ve always wanted to live in out-of-the-ordinary housing. Read my Tiny House Blog to become acquainted with my obsession. Tree houses aren’t just a childhood plaything. There are many innovative designs out there for grown-ups. For vacations, there are even tree house resorts, (AKA treesorts) all over the world. There’s one in Arkansas which I’ve been eyeing as a possible birthday getaway.
The library owns a copy of the book Treehouse Living: 50 Innovative Designs which totally got my imagination running wild. In Lyndsey Land, no one would live in "boring" suburban houses. (By the way, I’m not making fun of anyone because I live in a "boring" suburban house.) We would all live in funky tree houses, yurts, and redesigned shipping containers.

(Editor's Note: Since writing this, Lyndsey has moved to Portland. We wish her the best and are using this blog in honor of her move to a cool historic studio apartment in the Pacific Northwest! We miss her but are excited for her!)
