The Tree
January 24, 2013
Countless trees go into the making of books every day. This fact is troubling to us at Red Bridge. After years secretly working inside the walls of our library, we have finally done it!
We have righted our wrong.
We have moved forward by moving backward.
We have undone what was once done.
We have created a new circle of life.
We added branches to our branch.
We took a tree, made paper, and then made it into a tree again.
Read Aloud 1-2-3 has a mascot at Red Bridge. We have an ten-foot-tall paper tree complete with a three bedroom, one-and-a-half bath, tree house with a fully remodeled kitchen.
OK, we do have the ten-foot-tree with a tree house, but the accommodations are slightly exaggerated. It is a big hit with the young and old. We enjoy watching the excitement and wonder as customers take a break from the harsh fluorescent light under its branches. Read Aloud 1-2-3 will be similar to our Read Aloud Family Time from previous years. It is going to start on February 16th. I can't say a lot about it right now, but there will be more information soon!
