Top 5 New Year's Resolutions

January 10, 2012

So I know that the New Year started 10 days ago, but, well, I'm sort of a procrastinator. Plus, it takes a while to come up with really good resolutions. Resolutions I might actually be able to keep. Think about it. How many times have you resolved to be nicer to your brother? Or to get better grades? Or to stop drinking pop? Or to save up your money for something that actually matters? Or to get a girlfriend? Or to clean up your room before your mom yells at you to do it? Yeah, we've all been there. So I think I should be cut a little slack that it took me 10 days to make mine for 2012.

In any case, here we go.

Erin's Top 5 New Year's Resolutions

  1. To create, support, and appreciate art in many forms (painting, drawing, photography, music, acting, dance, movies, etc.). (There are tons of great resources I might check out here.)
  2. To learn how to use Tumblr.
  3. To participate in MCPL's 6 in 12 program (and to actually read some Adult Fiction for it! Whoa!)
  4. To read all of the manga and graphic novels that are recommended to me (starting with Shugo Chara! Thanks, Terrell.)
  5. To wear as many bright colors as I can. (Okay, so I totally can't pull off what these celebrities do, but I definitely enjoy mixing and matching my rainbow colors!)

I think it's going to be an interesting (and fun!) year. Look forward to finding some more Top 5 lists on how I've achieved these resolutions over the next 12 months! Until then, feel free to post some of your own resolutions or suggestions for what I can do to fulfill mine. Happy 2012!
