Toads!

My yard is full of toads. At night, you have to step carefully to avoid squashing the little rascals. The last time I noticed this many toads was the summer of 1993 when we had the last major flood. I'm sure they are looking for higher, drier ground! There are many sizes and colors to look at. This would be a perfect opportunity to check out a book or two and try to identify the different kinds of toads.

Maybe, you've noticed an increase of creatures in your yard. This would be a great time to check out a book about them from the library!
