There's an Adult "Summer" Reading Program, Too!
May 29, 2012
Yes, kids and teens are happily hauling home piles and piles of books for the MCPL Summer Reading Program. They’ll read hundreds of minutes and earn really cool prizes. But don’t forget, there’s a reading program for adults, too. It’s called the 6 in 12 Challenge.
It’s simple. Check out a book, any book you like. Read it. Enter it on the MCPL website (or come in and we’ll enter it for you). Repeat. Six times at least – feel free to keep on reading. You’ll be entered into our drawing every time you read a book and submit it.
MCPL will give away several eReaders at the end of the year. And that’s the good news! For adults, the program lasts all through 2012! So take that library card away from the kids for a second, check out your own pile of books, and start reading!
