Thanks For the Memories!
December 30, 2010
It's never easy to say good-bye--trying to find the right words and the right sentiment. There is also the physical leaving, the severing of a relationship, and the finality of separation. It's remembering everyone and everything that has meant so much to you over the years. It's remembering the good stuff-- the good people, and the good times. Memories that will be cherished.
Among my favorite memories is the time spent reading books and entertaining children (and their grownups) for Toddler Time Storytime and other storytimes and programs. I have loved sharing the company of your children and you over the years. Thank you for these wonderful memories.
Thank you, also, for having a kind word, a smile, a story, or a moment of friendship. I have enjoyed all of these things. I have been truly blessed during the past 19 years working in the Raytown Branch.
Now, it's time for me to say good-bye. It would be wonderful if I could say good-bye to each of you individually. I'll miss seeing and visiting with all of you. If you see me out and about, please, say "Hello."
Thanks for the memories!
Mary B.
