Thank You Veterans

As we honor the men and women who have served in the Armed Force to protect our nation, its people, and its values, we can share the meaning of this special day with our children. The five branches of the Armed Forces each have their own history. The book H is for Honor: A Military Family Alphabet by Devin Scillian is a good way to teach children about the armed forces that serve to protect them, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. Knowing the history of each branch helps us to be more thankful for those individuals who have fought for this great nation.
