What’s not to love about Friday?  It’s the end of the traditional work week with the weekend in sight!  I’m not a fan of the hot and humid weather, so I’ve decided to stay in this weekend and chill out with a good book! 

It’s easy to find a good read by selecting a popular author, but I’ve decided to move out of my comfort zone a bit and try something new!  After checking out the new book section at the MCPL Liberty Branch, I selected a mystery novel by an author I know nothing about and have never read!  My pick for this weekend is The Language of Sand by Ellen Block.  The book appears to meet my weekend criteria:  a mystery novel, less than 300 pages, an interesting summary, and a quick read.  Let the weekend begin!
