Summers have always been Corie's favorite time of year.   She could leave her little village behind and embark on adventures with her sister at Castle Auburn, spending time with Prince Bryan and her uncle Jaxon.  All that is about to change, though.  Corie returns to the castle only to find out that almost no one is who she once thought they were.  Uncle Jaxon is a slave trader who keeps wealthy houses full of Aliora slaves.  Her sister Elisandra has become engaged to the prince.  And Corie's carefree life is about to come crashing down.
