Teen Book Discussion: May
April 09, 2012
This month, we will be reading Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer by John Grisham. In his first young adult novel, Grisham introduces us to Theodore Boone, who is only 13 years old and already a lawyer in his own mind. Theo keeps an "office" at home and dispenses legal advice to both classmates and adults. He finds himself over his head when an eyewitness to a high-profile local murder contacts him with critical information. The witness is an illegal immigrant and is afraid of coming forward. Without his testimony, the guilty party will go free.
This is the first book in a new series. Copies of the novel are available at the Library. Join us at the Antioch Branch on Monday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. for the lively discussion. Snacks provided for the discussion.
