The Teen Book Club Is Moving!
December 09, 2010
Don’t worry, it’s not going far! The Lee’s Summit Branch Teen Book Club (a.k.a. The Vampire Support Group) is switching nights from the second Tuesday of every month to the fourth Tuesday of every month starting in January. We’ll still be meeting at 6:30 pm, and we’ll still be reading an awesome sampling of teen books.
So far, we’ve mostly been reading books with a supernatural twist, including Evernight by Claudia Gray and The Reformed Vampire Support Group by Catherine Jinks (with a peppering of classics like Bram Stoker’s Dracula); so if you’re into reading about vampires, fairies, werewolves, and other unexplained phenomena, this is the place for you. Even if you’re not, but you just love reading, come join the club! We have a great time discussing books and reading with each other, and we’d love to hear your suggestions.
There’s still time to check out this month’s selection, Blood and Chocolate by Annette Klause, and read it for our meeting on December 14th. As with every title we read, copies are now available at the circulation desk to check out, starting one month before the meeting date.
If you can’t make it this month, dates for teen book club meetings for the winter and spring of 2011 (on our new night) are January 25th, February 22nd, March 22nd, and April 26th, all at 6:30 pm. Hope to see you there!
