Teddy Bears Invade the Library
April 29, 2011
“I decided to take my teddy bear. But my sister said: What if Reggie wants to know your teddy bear’s name? I decided not to take my teddy bear.” ~ Ira Sleeps Over by Bernard Waber.
There is no dilemma in the month of May at the Raytown Branch about bringing teddy bears to the library. Everyone can bring teddy bears to storytime on Tuesdays or Fridays. Family storytimes are on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and Friday at 10:00 a.m. We love teddy bears at the Raytown Branch! The bears can listen to stories, sing songs, and maybe play the instruments. They might even have a picnic one day at the end of May.
Many teddy bear books are available to check out, including Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson, Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear a Traditional Rhyme illustrated by Timothy Bush, What Does My Teddy Bear Do All Night? by Bruno Hachler, and Michael Hague’s Illustrated The Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
Join us at the library in May for lots of teddy bear fun! Bring your teddy bear!
