Technoman Talks: How I Began My Own Small, Successful Business

October 04, 2010

It all began with a dream I had. Really, at first it seemed a nightmare. I dreamed I lived in a future time where I was employed, though unappreciated, as a TechnoButler to a wealthy, narcissistic entrepreneur who had developed an extraordinarily lucrative enterprise known as SOMNIREAD Technologies, LLC.

This company specialized in nanotechnology. In fact, this company solved two of the age old problems plaguing mankind – first, not being able to fall asleep and remain comfortably asleep, and second, not having enough time to read. SOMNIREAD Technologies, LLC offered the client a tiny and colorful little capsule of intriguing nano-literary possibilities, in addition to a safe and efficacious sleeping pill.  All that was required was a glass of water - and a credit card.

One might select from an infinite list of literary works – fiction, nonfiction, in print or out of print, whatever language desired. Did not matter! SOMNIREAD TECHNOLOGIES, LLC had the pill for you!

The online advertisement read, "Pick from any number of colorful capsules. Our nanolibrarybots will entertain you throughout your evening of cozy sleep. Wake up rested and rejuvenated. Experience a brand new book tonight." Because that is exactly what happens, you sleep like a baby, and experience the best read of your life without actually having to eyeball a single word.

Then, I awoke from my demeaning, nightmarish horror.

I looked around me, and realized that it was but a dream. But wait…wait a minute…in the cloudy nether land of first wakefulness, I remembered having seen a link at MYMCPL.ORG. The clever little link read, “WE CAN HELP YOUR SMALL BUSINESS.”

Why should I – TechnoMan - settle to be a butler in the future to a profoundly wealthy individual who will never appreciate me? That is what delivered me to the following realization: I could develop my own business in this present time and take charge of my own financial future. And this is how I began my own small, successful business. I greet each of my clients with the same enthusiasm:

Hello…welcome to SOMNIREAD TECHNOMANOLOGIES, INC. Sleep well and enjoy your read.
