Yes, somewhere out there a duck IS watching you. You can thank Gary Larson, creator of the surreal comic The Far Side, for bringing this menace to national attention. While no longer in syndication, Larson’s world of talking animals, nerdy scientists, and bee-hived women lives on the minds of fans. If, like me, you have a hole in your soul that can only be filled by the absurd humor Larson delivered daily, you can relive the glory years with the 2-volume hardcover set - The Complete Far Side. If you’re not willing to shell out $100+ dollars for an exhaustive compendium of silly drawings, check out the Far Side compilations available at MCPL.

Now if I could just find that duck.
