T-Shirt Time!

August 31, 2011

Jersey Shore! I’m sure I will lose most parents at this point. It is a horrible TV show in the reality genre that has captivated millions (including myself). I hate that I like it, but I DVR it every week. I am a newcomer to the series. I started last season when the cast returned to the Shore. I wait every week to see who will get in a fight this time, or if Ronnie and Sammie will ever realize how toxic their relationship is. I am not the only one. One only has to read the news to see how much attention these people get, good or bad.

This season, in an effort to reconnect the cast with their Italian roots (really?!), producers sent the Shore kids to Florence. I have been to Florence. It is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, and, I say this with all the love in my heart, not a place you expect to see GTL (Gym Tan Laundry). However, the Florentines seem to be very accepting and friendly. Too bad I can’t say the same for the actual cast.

You can get the TV show through WorldCat, but MCPL offers some alternatives to fill your Jersey Shore fix. You can get history, travel, mysteries, and even haunting books about the Shore. I plan on doing some exploration as I know very little about the actual location that spawned such a huge program.

Enjoy the rest of the season my fellow Shoreians. See you Thursday!
