Survival of the Fittest
July 05, 2012
One of my most favorite things to do in the library is browsing the non-fiction shelves. I’ve been doing this as long as I can remember. After 40 years of doing so, I am still amazed that I continue to find new and interesting subjects. The latest to peak my interest are the survival books and materials.
What man or woman hasn’t wondered what they would do if they were stranded in some remote location. Or, God forbid, society crumbles and you need to fend for yourself.
I found some great non-fiction in book and in video format. Man vs. Wild is one of my favorites. Self-Sufficiency and edible wild plants are just a couple of the subject terms that fit into this theme.
Check them out at your local branch today.
You don’t want to be left unprepared.
