Surprised!
February 23, 2012
The library has a lot of how-to books and a lot of self-help books. As we go through different phases or stages in our life, each one should be celebrated for all the challenges that have been placed before us that we have survived. I found out as a senior citizen that I can be recycled or re-invent myself by learning and doing new things. Sometimes, we need a little extra help.
The other day when I was doing some work out in the stacks, I was surprised to see a request for a book that is known all over the world, printed in many languages, and can be found in many forms. It’s the best self-help book because it’s God’s self-help for all phases of our lives, The Holy Bible. Why was I surprised? I don’t know. I just hope that our copy gets lots of use.

Why is it the best self-help book?
Other "holy" books by "God"s:
Talmud
Koran
Bhagavad-Gita
Book of Mormon
Diamond Sutra
Book of the Dead
Tao Te Ching
Svetambara
Holy Piby
Kegra Negast
Kojiki
Guru Granth Sahib
Yasna
Visperad
Yashts
Vendidad
Ofudesaki
Osashizu
. . . etc. . . .
Why do you claim that "The Holy Bible" is the best one? You must have some reason. Why not share?
