Super Humans!

September 07, 2010

This past Labor Day weekend, I finished the 4th book by Michael Carroll called Super Human. All 4 titles to date kept my attention, and I wanted more by the time I read the last page. The focus is on the teenage characters, who may or may not realize they are super human. The teens are just beginning to understand their newfound abilities, which are far advanced over average humans. Some of the teenages have fun with their new abilities, while others struggle or feel like they're cursed. Each character, whether teenager or adult, has to decide if they are going to use their new strengths for good or for selfish reasons.

Other books by Michael Carroll:

  • Awakening (2007) - two teenage boys learn of their new super human abilities at the same time, which is both cool and scary at the same time!
  • Gathering (2008) - the same teenages from the Awakening, along with others continue to learn how to master their new abilities, and try to balance the desire to be normal teenages as well.
  • Reckoning (2009) the teenages from the 2 previous books start to take sides, but is it simply good vs evil?  Who can they trust? And who is lying?

Check out these cool books at the branch or access the web catalog to request your copy!
