Summertime Is Upon Us
June 18, 2011
Summertime is upon us once again, and everyone at Grandview is busy promoting the Summer Reading Program. Our "One World, Many Stories" signup booth is a pagoda, complete with dragons and oriental decorations. Our resident artist, Jessica, has completely dazzled everyone with her signup booth design again this year. Participation in the reading program is going well, and it is always our goal at Grandview to grow the Summer Reading Program bigger than the year before. If you haven't signed up for the program yet, you may do so online or by stopping by the library.
Summer events at Grandview are proving to be just as popular as ever. Our children's programming attendees have seen the twin tigers, B. B. King and Mack, from Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge and have gone on a Song Safari with WildHeart. Our Teen and Tween groups have both had their annual tie dye programs and have more events planned during the remainder of the summer. For more information on the events this summer at the Grandview branch or to register for one, visit our Events page online or stop by the library.
We invite you to stop by anytime to find a book, read the newspaper, take in an event, or just come by to see the pagoda. We know summer is a busy time for everyone, but we would love to see you at the Grandview Branch one day soon.
