The Summer Reading Program is Coming to an End

July 29, 2012

The end is near! Tuesday, the 31st is the last day to enter minutes read, book reviews, or titles finished for the Summer Reading Program. You do have until Saturday, August 4th to claim your prizes, but after that, we’re done.

What was the best book you read? Which prize did you like the most? Did you have fun reading this summer? We really did have a great time throughout the Summer Reading Program. We loved seeing your smiling faces as you got your first Library card, signed up to read, and picked out your prizes. We also enjoyed having you at our branch for our many programs and special guests.

We hope that you’ll continue to use the Library as summer winds down and school starts. Don’t forget that the Library is your access point to information and we’re here to help.

Fond Memories

Submitted by Anonymous on August 1, 2012 - 9:39am.

I grew up participating in the Summer Reading Program every year. Unfortunately, I have less time to dedicate reading now that I'm working and busy with school...so I'm always excited when Summer comes around and it's time to pick out and read books to my brothers! I'm glad that MCPL continues to offer this opportunity each year and I must say, it's fun to see how it's adapted and changed over the years!
