The Summer Reading Photo Contest
February 13, 2013
The Summer Reading Program may still be a few months away, but we have a little contest for you while you are waiting for it. All you have to do is take a picture that captures one of the themes of the program. The winning pictures will be printed in our advertisements. The themes are as follows:
- Children’s Summer Reading Program: Dig into Reading.
- Teen Summer Reading Program: Beneath the Surface.
Once you take your picture, turn it in to the Library at one of our upcoming Photo Fun meetings: Tuesday, March 5th and Tuesday, April 2nd. Both meetings start at 6:30 p.m. The rules of the contest are as follows:
- You must sign a photo submission release form.
- If your picture has any people in it, you will need to provide a photo release form from them.
- Photos will be judged by staff members who are not participating. The judges won't know the identity of the photographer, so don't include anything that identifies you as the picture taker in your photo.
- Do not include anything inappropriate, or your photo will be disqualified.
If you have any questions, call us at 816.630.6721 and ask for Robert.
