June 18, 2013
You’ve probably heard a lot about the Summer Reading Program and other activities and programs for kids and teens at the Library this summer. However, adults can have fun at the Library, too. Here are a few programs coming up at the Excelsior Springs Branch this summer that are designed just for adults.
History of the Library in Excelsior Springs: Local history expert Lance Lamb will present a fun and informative look into how the library started out in this city and evolved into what it is today. This program takes place on Thursday, June 20th at 6:30 p.m.
Summertime Salads: This program will give you a chance to see and learn how to prepare fruit and vegetable salads for picnics. It takes place on Saturday, July 13th at 2:30 p.m.
Forgotten Math: Want to help your children get though those troublesome math homework problems? Here’s a program that you won’t want to miss. We will review several key concepts that will give you the confidence you need so you will be ready to help your children with math homework. This program takes place on Thursday, August, 1st at 6:30 p.m.
This is just an example of what MCPL has to offer adults. You can sign up for these programs online or call us at 816.630.6721.
