Nothing’s bigger than music. Everyone listens to it. I pooled a group of sonic wizards, heads of some of the nation’s greatest institutions of sound and they each gave me five essential summer records, CDs, and cylinders from their respective collections. The results:

Put this stuff on hold. I took a chance on Roscoe Holcomb’s An Untamed Sense of Control and I have a feeling I’m going to hang out with Roscoe all summer.
