Stop By and Say Hi

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Chris. I am a Library Clerk at the Claycomo Branch of the Mid Continent Public Library system.

I have been employed at MCPL for five years. There are a couple of reasons why I like working at MCPL. First, as an avid reader, I get to be around one of the things I love…BOOKS! Secondly, I get to help our customers in a variety of ways: answering computer questions, placing holds for items customers want, and answering the ever popular question, "Do you have the book Fifty Shades of Grey”?

Now, Fifty Shades of Grey is not one of my favorite books. I do, however, have many favorites. Some of my favorite authors include: Danielle Steel, Melody Carlson, Nicholas Sparks, Mitch Albom, and Nancy Thayer. In addition, I am a huge fan of Rock 'n Roll biographies and autobiographies (hence the Rolling Stones reference above). 

Finally, I want to say a big thank you to all the customers who make my job so fun and interesting!
